Rodney is an American dreamer. His glass is not only half full, but it's half full of the finest wine you've ever tasted. But when the great recession wipes out his construction business in Central Florida, his family faces a nightmare of debt. FROM THE DIRECTORS:
This film is our love letter to our friends and our time capsule of the quarantine we spent together. It was our therapy, our way of tuning out the anxiety. It was our way of keeping in touch with our friends and finding comfort in our collective uncertainty.
Social distancing boundaries helped us form a visual theme and allowed us to capture natural moments. We’d set up a shot outside a window and roll for 15 minutes, knowing we’d only use 5 seconds of it. We’d do a scene or two a day around golden hour with one of us having to motivate the other to get up and out. After two months of shooting 40 plus people, we came up with this piece, an exploration of our “qua-routine” in Los Angeles and how each of us cope to find a silver lining to this fucked up, once in a lifetime experience.
